Chuck Harris, Founder & COO

Chuck co-founded Korio as a blank canvas to articulate an evolved clinical trials platform; his belief is that more intuitive, streamlined, and intelligent tools placed in the hands of clinical trials professionals will directly contribute to the advancement of new medicines.

Chuck’s road to the life sciences began in regulatory at the FDA in Boston, wound its way through consumer products with Excite and Intuit in Silicon Valley, and then dovetailed into two-decades of escalating leadership roles in clinical trial technologies companies in San Francisco- most recently as CEO of Endpoint Clinical.

A lifelong runner (more trails and hills, less pavement), Chuck is often exploring the Bay Area backwoods without signal or a quick exit. While his off-road experiences typically go according to plan, there are times when the most basic things just don’t go as expected- from an issue with gear, to missing a trail marker, to the occasional injury. These mishaps require quick fixes, re-calibration of the day’s effort, and reflection afterward for how to better anticipate and prevent similar issues the next time. The uncertainty doesn’t discourage Chuck from his pursuit; if anything, learning from previous mistakes makes him feel more adept to roll with the uncertainty, knowing that next time, he will be that much more prepared.

Similar principles apply to optimizing technology to support clinical trials professionals; expect change, adapt to evolving conditions, re-use and leverage your past successes, and then realize efficiencies and better outcomes as a result.

We are excited to have you join us in realizing our Korio vision!
