Job Description: Principal Software Engineer in Test

Job Overview 

As a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will work closely with the Engineering and Product Management team to automate, develop, and implement sophisticated tests on various environments to verify the conformance of Korio features and their functionalities. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and focused individuals who have a real passion for quality engineering and have refined knowledge of product quality standards, maintainable automation and efficient processes.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, build, implement, and document testing strategy by working closely with the team and partners.
• Build, maintain, and execute manual and automated jobs and test scripts, advising and recommending testing solutions and practices suitable for enterprise level platform.
• Design and execute automated scripts using QA tools.
• Develop, implement and maintain test environments, frameworks and systems.
• Collaborate with developers to identify software defects and manage effectively.
• Work with various teams to promote quality best practices.
• Participate in the review of product design specifications and source code with other members of the engineering team, ensure the testability requirements are addressed in the design.
• Collaborate with other teams including development, product management, business analysis and product support teams for successful delivery of new features.
• Functional, regression, usability, performance, stress, load, security and other types of testing as needed.
• Engage with hardworking and dedicated peers, all the way from product management, design, engineering, compliance, dev ops, support, and so much more.

What you bring to the table

• Deep understanding of cloud native stack, containerization and analytics, and DevOps mindset, enabling a continuous delivery pipeline while meeting the functional and quality attributes. 
• Experience in working on distributed systems like Azure Cloud is preferred. 
• Experience designing, building and maintaining test automation in Azure. 
• Experience developing automation and analyzing test results to ensure quality and recommend corrective action on both platforms is a must. 
• Experience in building/improving test automation frameworks such as in Javascript and Python or/and tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress.io, Webdriver.io.
• Skills to develop/Research automation tools used to improve the test coverage efficiency and sufficiency. Develop and evolve test frameworks, tools, infrastructure, and CI systems. System/Critical thinking and a big picture mentality are important. 
• Ability to triage and resolve complex issues in highly distributed asynchronous environments. 
• Large Scale Web Applications testing experience with high stability and low flakiness. 
• A desire to engage and empathize with customers and participate in validating patches and maintenance releases. 
• Bonus Points: Experience in regulated industry such as life sciences, aerospace, automotive, finance, healthcare, etc.
• An action-biased approach and a reputation for Getting Stuff Done.
• An understanding that help is a two-way street- you will ask for help when you need it, and you will offer help when it is needed.
