Job Overview 


Reporting to the CEO of Korio and working closely with the team across Product, Services and Marketing, the Executive Director, Business Development will be charged with expanding Korio's business by selling Randomization & Trial Supply Management (RTSM) solutions across the life sciences and CRO channels. 


As the first Sales leader within Korio, there is a blank canvas for you to architect what will be the future of the team. The first line of sight for Korio’s prospective customers is our sales force – and so it is critical that this team is built with the highest standards from the get-go. 

In this early phase of Korio, there will be a dual focus on not just the longer-term vision of the Sales team, but the short-term needs which will include being an active hunter and contributor of sales opportunities.

 


What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that incorporates client segments, market opportunities and competitive forces with an eye to delivering growth at scale.
  • Design a CRM structure that is easy to use and provides meaningful insight into sales pipeline health and performance.
  • Embrace the Korio product vision, building excitement across the life sciences market and a discipline across the future Sales team.
  • Recruit top Sales talent and maintain a steady pulse on candidates who can add value and are aligned with Korio’s values and culture.
  • Work closely with Product and Client Services to understand the complete value proposition of Korio’s RTSM solution.


What you bring to the table

  • 7-10 years Sales experience in B2B within the life sciences space.
  • 5+ years’ experience building and managing a Sales team.
  • A prospective customer network within the eClinical space.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable and confident using technology as an integral part of the sales process, with particular experience using Salesforce or other CRMs.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to keep multiple projects and client engagements active at once.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate uncertainty.
  • Style alignment with a strengths-oriented team environment and the ability to naturally elevate others.
  • Interest in working as part of a small and growing company, with awareness about the opportunities and challenges that come with a highly adaptive environment.
  • Understanding that help is a two-way street- you will ask for help when you need it, and you will offer help when it is needed.
  • Hunger to make an immediate and lasting impact on all aspects of Korio.
